In addition to lifestyle family sessions, I also offer documentary family photography in London and Kent — a way to capture your family story as it really is.

What is documentary family photography?

This is storytelling through images. No posed shots. No colour-coded outfits. No staged lighting. Just real-life, everyday moments.

I capture the little things: reading with your children, laughter and playful chaos, quiet glances, or even small frustrations. These moments form a genuine record of your life together — memories you’ll treasure for years.

A documentary session is pure reportage. I don’t direct you; I observe, notice, and photograph your family as you are.

What to expect from a documentary session

Your session lasts around 4 hours. During this time, I capture natural, unscripted moments. The joy, the mess, the connection — it’s all part of your story.

Beforehand, I’ll send a short questionnaire to learn about your family’s day-to-day life and what activities you enjoy together. This helps me capture moments that feel true to you.

After the session, you’ll receive:

• A private online gallery (delivered in 2 weeks)

• All your images (minimum 40) in high and low resolution

• A slideshow video

• A handcrafted 12x8 photobook with up to 40 images

Unlike lifestyle sessions, documentary sessions are all about telling your story in full, so you get every special moment captured.
